Kyle Freeland To Miss At Least A Month With Shoulder Strain
4 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland (shoulder) is expected to miss at least a month after suffering a left shoulder strain, according to Thomas Harding of MLB.com. Freeland exited his start on Tuesday after throwing a pitch, and while manager Bud Black said Thursday that an MRI confirmed the strain, he added that the news looks "pretty promising." Harding adds that there is no timetable for his return, but Freeland is expected to begin throwing and strengthening soon. Freeland's value in fantasy was limited to being at best a matchup-dependent streaming option, and the Rockies do not appear to have any better options to fill his spot in the rotation for now.
