Kyle Finnegan Saves Third Game Saturday
3 years agoWashington Nationals relief pitcher Kyle Finnegan completed his third save Saturday against the Atlanta Braves, setting down all three men he faced. He did not record a strikeout. Finnegan has inherited the closer role with Brad Hand having been dealt to Toronto, and he's been quite successful with the job around one blown save that really should have been attributed to the Washington defense. With a 3.00 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and 47 strikeouts in 45 innings this year, Finnegan is no top-10 option, but he's very valuable for fantasy managers in need of every last save.
