2 years agoWashington Nationals right-hander Kyle Finnegan was tasked with protecting a one-run lead in the ninth inning of Sunday's 3-2 victory over the New York Mets. He was successful, working around two hits while striking out a batter to earn his eighth save of the season. It's a good sight for fantasy managers, as Finnegan's been shaky this season, posting a 6.28 ERA, 1.95 WHIP, 19.4% strikeout rate, and 13.4% walk rate with a pair of blown saves. The club has shown no signs that they want to move on from the 31-year-old as the closer, so expect him to keep collecting save opportunities for the time being but keep an eye on the situation moving forward.--Spencer Seguin
