Kyle Finnegan Earns Sixth Save Of Season Tuesday
2 years agoWashington Nationals closer Kyle Finnegan picked up his sixth save of the season in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Cubs. Finnegan came in to pitch the ninth inning up by three. He got the first two outs on a strikeout and groundout, allowed a single, and got the final out on another groundout. The 31-year-old has only blown one save but has not pitched well this season, amassing a 6.55 ERA with an 8.18 K/9 rate and a 4.09 BB/9 rate. His peripherals are a liability and the Nationals may not see many save opportunities, so Finnegan should really only be a fantasy consideration in deep roto leagues at this time.
