Kyle Finnegan Converts His Second Straight Save Monday
2 years agoWashington Nationals relief pitcher Kyle Finnegan earned his second save in as many days on Monday, when he closed out the team's 4-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. He pitched a scoreless ninth inning in the game, allowing one hit and no walks while striking out one. The 30-year-old has allowed just four hits, two walks and two earned runs across 9.1 innings this month. He certainly looks like the clear closer for the Nationals after earning saves on two straight days. While we'd hesitate to label any closer of a 33-65 team a "must-add," Finnegan is certainly someone who should be rostered in any league where saves are scarce and highly-coveted.
