Kyle Daukaus Takes The Loss But Still Impresses
4 years agoKyle Daukaus had a tough task taking on an opponent like Brendan Allen in his UFC debut. Daukaus entered the bout undefeated at 9-0 with eight submission finishes. Daukaus looked good in the first round on his feet exchanging with Allen. Before the bout went to the mat, Daukaus ate a huge knee, which opened up a gash over his right eye. While on the mat, the two fighters went back and forth with control. The second round was similar to the first, with both fighters going back and forth standing and on the ground. Daukaus showed his competitive spirit by bringing the fight to Allen in the third round. If Allen did not escape from the ground near the end of the round, it's possible Daukaus could have taken a 10-8, turning the bout into a draw finish.
