Kyle Busch Hopes Texas Will Kick-Start His Season
4 years agoJoe Gibbs Racing's Kyle Busch will start from the fourth position in Sunday's O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. Busch and the No. 18 team have been off all year, and last week was the most telling performance. Busch drew the pole at Kentucky, a track he has dominated at, and could only manage a 21st-place finish. Just like Kentucky, Texas is one of Busch's best tracks on the circuit. In 28 starts, Busch has three wins, 12 top-fives, and 15 top-10 finishes. Eventually, the defending Cup Series champion is expected to get it together. If Busch struggles as bad, this week, as he did at Kentucky, it may be a lost season. Busch is still priced high based on name value, but he offers little upside starting so high. DFS players should probably look elsewhere and avoid Busch until his performance returns to his usual level.
