Kyle Allen Has A Good Chance To Return By Tuesday
3 years agoThe Washington Football Team believes that quarterback Kyle Allen, who is on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, has a good chance to return and play in Week 15 since the game was moved to Tuesday, according to a source. Allen and starter Taylor Heinicke remain in the league's COVID protocols. Allen entered the Week 14 game against the Dallas Cowboys when Heinicke was injured and went 4-for-9 for 53 yards and was sacked once in his only action of the season. The Philadelphia Eagles haven't been bad against opposing passers in terms of yardage allowed this year, so Allen wouldn't necessarily have a great chance to go off in his first start of the season if he's cleared and Heinicke isn't by Tuesday. But Allen under center for Washington would be a huge upgrade over the recently signed Garrett Gilbert, that's for sure.
