Ky Bush To Make Major-League Debut For White Sox On Monday
4 months agoThe Chicago White Sox will call up left-handed pitching prospect Ky Bush from Triple-A Charlotte on Monday to make his major-league debut against the Oakland Athletics, according to sources. Bush was acquired from the Los Angeles Angels with catcher Edgar Quero in the trade for Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez last year. Bush was promoted to Charlotte in early July and will now get his first call to the big leagues. The 24-year-old southpaw made only four appearances (two starts) at Triple-A, allowed 13 earned runs while walking 10 and striking out 16 in 19 innings, so even though the matchup is a good one in his big-league debut, Bush will be a pretty risky fantasy streamer in his first start in the majors. Per MLB Pipeline, Bush is Chicago's No. 17 prospect. The 6-foot-6, 250-pounder could get some run in the rotation to close out the year for the worst team in baseball.
