Ky Bush Dealing With Minor Oblique Injury
2 years agoLos Angeles Angels left-hander Ky Bush (oblique), one of the team's top pitching prospects, wasn't among the team's non-roster invites to major-league spring training because he's dealing with a minor oblique injury and the Angels didn't want to rush him to get ready for camp. Bush was ranked by MLB Pipeline as the team's No. 4 prospect in 2022. The 23-year-old southpaw finished 2022 with a 3.67 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 29 walks and 101 strikeouts in a career-high 103 innings over 21 starts for Double-A Rocket City. The Angels will obviously take it slow with their prized prospect, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that he will make his major-league debut at some point in 2023 if he's healthy.
