7 years agoAtlanta Braves catcher Kurt Suzuki (hand) was held out of Wednesday's game against the Nationals, with Carlos Perez donning the equipment. Thursday is an off day, so Suzuki will have another day of rest. The team also selected the contract of reliever Luke Jackson and designated catcher Chris Stewart for assignment. Stewart went from being the third catcher to the backup to the starter briefly, and now he's being let go. Suzuki should be ready for action on Friday, and he can be a decent option in NL-only and two-catcher leagues with more playing time in the short term.--Michael Griffin - RotoBaller
