Kurt Kitayama Makes 2025 Debut At Sony Open
20 hours agoKurt Kitayama will be teeing it up for the first time this calendar year and he'll surely be looking to carry over the momentum he built at the end of 2024. The 31-year-old UNLV alum only played three events in the fall swing, but he impressively racked up finishes of T25 at the Black Desert Championship, T9 at the Shriners Children's Open, and wrapped it up with a solo fifth-place showing at the ZOZO Championship. He has had middling course history at Waialae, missing the cut in 2022, finishing T73 in 2023, and T24 in 2024, but his recent form could lead to a different story in the 2025 rendition. Over the last 36 rounds, Kitayama ranks 16th off the tee, fourth in overall approach play, eighth in opportunities gained, and 21st in bogey avoidance. With just an average week on the greens, fantasy managers could see Kitayama contending for his 12th top-10 finish on Tour.
