Kris Ventura A Strong Value Pick At The Mexican Open
1 day agoKris Ventura has found success since returning from the Korn Ferry Tour to join the PGA Tour, making three of four cuts and recording a T4 finish at the Farmers Insurance Open. He now turns his attention to the Mexican Open, an event he has yet to compete in during his career. At 7,456 yards, Vidanta Vallarta is a course that demands length off the tee and strong long-iron play. Ventura ranks 17th in driving distance, averaging an impressive 316.5 yards per drive. He has also gained 3.640 strokes on approach this season and has been solid from distance, ranking 54th on tour in proximity from 200-plus yards. This is especially significant given that 43.3% of all approach shots at this event last year came from this distance. Ventura has gained strokes across all facets of his game this season, and given his ability to bomb it off the tee and hit it close from range, fantasy managers can confidently include him in their lineups at his $7,300 price tag on DraftKings.
