2 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Kris Bubic (elbow) was recently placed on the 15-day injured list due to a left flexor strain. Now, the Royals have revealed that Bubic will need to undergo Tommy John surgery. That means, Bubic will miss the rest of the 2023 season and probably the beginning of 2024. This is a shame considering the 25-year-old appeared to be finally turning a corner. He was fairly decent through his first three starts, but he won't take the mound again this season. It's unclear who is going to take over as the full time starter with Bubic out for the rest of 2023.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
