Kris Bubic Fires Six Scoreless Innings In First 2021 Start
4 years agoKansas City Royals pitcher Kris Bubic made his first start of the 2021 season on Tuesday against the Milwaukee Brewers and certainly made a strong bid for a permanent rotation spot. Bubic pitched six scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out four. Bubic has pitched 18.2 innings overall this year and has maintained a 0.96 ERA and 0.96 WHIP. He struggled in his first Major League tour last year, going 1-6 with a 4.32 ERA and 1.48 WHIP over 10 starts. The Royals recently demoted struggling prospect Daniel Lynch and placed Danny Duffy (elbow) on the injured list, so Bubic should remain in the rotation at least for now. His next start is scheduled for Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Fantasy managers in deep leagues who need pitching depth should keep an eye on him.
