Kris Bryant Removed From Tuesday’s Game
3 years agoChicago Cubs' third baseman Kris Bryant was removed from Tuesday's game against the Cardinals during the fifth inning. No reason was given as to why Bryant was pulled from the contest. He went 0-for-1 with a run scored before exiting. The 29-year-old has been the subject of many trade rumors recently, but Bryant did also land on the ground hard after a diving catch in the third inning. The Cubs will provide an update after the game. Ian Happ replaced Bryant in the contest. Happ will be the biggest beneficiary if Bryant is moved before the MLB trade deadline on July 31. The 26-year-old has struggled at the plate this season, slashing an abysmal .180/.292/.322 across 279 plate appearances. Stay tuned.
