The next step would be for him to face live pitching on the field. “There’s plenty of time for myself to get ready for hopefully a long playoff run," Bryant said. It's progress, but Bryant is coming along very slowly and may not be ready to rejoin the team until sometime in September. You obviously have to keep holding onto him, but he's been a big disappointment with just 11 home runs and 44 RBI on the season.
