2 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Kolten Wong is in the lineup for Wednesday's matchup against Marcus Stroman and the Chicago Cubs, batting eighth and playing the keystone. The two-time Gold Glove winner is struggling to begin 2023, slashing .118/.225/.118 with three runs and three RBI in 10 games. Wong started the season at the top of the lineup but has appeared no higher than sixth since April 5. That will hurt his production in terms of counting stats, making him nothing more than a one-category contributor with his decent baserunning ability. Wong is currently only relevant in deeper leagues, even if he moves up the lineup.--Spencer Seguin
