Kolten Wong Locked Into Leadoff Spot
4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers second baseman Kolten Wong figures to see quite a few first pitches this season, as he has hit leadoff in every game he has appeared in this spring. He will almost surely open the regular season at the top of the order against right-handed starters, and he may do the same against southpaws, as he posted a .370 OBP last year against lefties and Lorenzo Cain (quad) is not a lock to be ready for Opening Day. Wong is an elite defensive player but also can swing the stick. He moves to a new ballpark, which should work well in his favor. He can also steal bases when he stole 24 in 2019. He's worth a look late in drafts and should bounce back nicely sitting atop Milwaukee's lineup.
