Kole Calhoun To Undergo Knee Surgery Wednesday
4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Kole Calhoun (knee) will undergo surgery on his right knee on Wednesday morning, according to The Arizona Republic's Nick Piecoro. Piecoro reports that Calhoun will be undergoing a "right knee medial meniscectomy" and there is currently no information on a timetable for Calhoun's return. Calhoun posted career-highs with a .526 slugging percentage and 12.3 percent walk rate over 54 games in 2020, but it appears that he will open the season on the injured list. The Diamondbacks have several players who will have a shot at increased playing time following this injury, with Daulton Varsho likely being the player with the best shot at increased playing time and fantasy relevance.
