3 months agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Kolby Allard is being promoted from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to make a spot start in Sunday's series finale against the Kansas City Royals. Allard has made three starts at the major league level this summer and has held a 3.46 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP across 13 innings of work. At Triple-A this summer, Allard has posted a disappointing 5.75 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP. If he performs well this afternoon, Allard could be in line to receive a handful of starts over the next few weeks. DFS players should fade Allard this afternoon as the Royals hold a strong 18.3 K rate against southpaws this summer.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
