Kolby Allard Back In The Big Leagues
2 years agoThe Texas Rangers recalled pitcher Kolby Allard from Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday. He was demoted to minors in mid-June after struggling with a 5.06 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 12:3 K: BB over 16 innings with the Rangers. Since being demoted, the 24-year-old has been solid in the minors, allowing three earned runs while striking out 14 over his last 9 1/3 innings. If Allard can carry this momentum into the big leagues, the southpaw could be a potential streaming option in deep-league formats if he can crack the rotation. John King was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.
