Kody Clemens Gets Rare Start Wednesday
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies infielder Kody Clemens will hit ninth and play first base in a rare start Wednesday versus the Marlins and right-hander Edward Cabrera. It's just the third start and appearance on the season for Klemens as the Phillies look to get as many left-handed bats into the starting lineup as possible against Cabrera. An off-season trade acquisition from the Tigers, Clemens is hitless in eight trips to the plate this season but does have a walk to his credit in that time. He has scuffled to a .137 average with five homers, one stolen base, and a .368 OPS across 59 big-league games between the Tigers and Phillies.
