Kirk Cousins Poised In Vikings Regular Season Debut
6 years agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins started his season off on the right foot on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. Cousins was 20-for-36 passing with a total of 244 yards and two touchdowns. He pulled off a number of great throws against an aggressive 49ers defensive front. In particular, his touchdown strikes to Stefon Diggs and Kyle Rudolph were both beautifully thrown balls which defeated near-perfect coverage. The fact that Cousins looked this solid in Week 1 is a huge boon for fantasy owners. The Vikings offense should keep getting better as Cousins continues to adjust to his new surroundings. Furthermore, the line play should improve if starting center Pat Elflein (shoulder) can get back into the lineup for Week 2. Cousins remains a solid QB1 option for fantasy purposes as the Vikings look ahead to the Green Bay Packers next Sunday.
