Kirby Yates Reaches Double-Digit Saves
6 years agoSan Diego Padres closer Kirby Yates notched his 10th save Sunday against the Cincinnati Reds. Yates had been dormant this week due to the Padres six-game skid but he worked around a hit to slam the door. The save expands Yates’ brilliant early-season resume and he sits with a 0.75 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and unreal 39.6 percent strikeout rate. As the current co-leader in the majors for saves, Yates is proving to be one of the most reliable closers in fantasy.
