Kike Hernandez Steals First Base Of Season
4 years agoBoston Red Sox utility man Kike Hernandez stole his first base of the season Friday night, swiping second base off Phillies reliever Connor Brogdon and catcher Andrew Knapp. Hernandez entered the game after Alex Verdugo left with injury, going 0-for-2 with a run scored. The steal was only the 13th of Hernandez's career, but if he can add that skill to his repertoire, it would go a long way to improving his ceiling as a fantasy asset. Don't count on two many more, but Hernandez has value in AL-only and deep mixed leagues anyway for his run-scoring and flexibility.
