1 year agoChicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert made his return in Week 11 after a five-game hiatus due to an ankle injury. Despite the anticipation surrounding his comeback, Herbert faced significant challenges, managing just 35 yards on 16 rushing attempts and adding two receptions for six yards in the team's 31-26 loss to the Lions. The first-half departure of backfield mate D'Onta Foreman, sidelined with an ankle injury, increased Herbert's workload. However, he struggled to gain momentum, averaging a modest 2.19 yards per carry for the day. Looking ahead to Week 12, the Bears are set to face the Vikings, a team allowing the 20th-most points per game to running backs this season. Herbert could be a solid play, especially in the Bears' run-heavy offensive strategy, leveraging his skills in a potentially favorable matchup.--Tony Camino - RotoBaller

3 months agoCincinnati Bengals running back Khalil Herbert got the start for the injured Chase Brown (ankle) in Saturday's crucial win over the Steelers. The 26-year-old, who was acquired by the Bengals in November, had played sparingly since arriving in Cincinnati. However, he did exactly what was needed on Saturday night, running for 69 yards off 20 carries while adding seven catches for 14 yards. The Bengals still have a shot at the postseason. But if Herbert's season is finished, he'll likely draw interest from at least a few teams in free agency. With that said, unless he gets a meaningful role in 2025-26, his fantasy upside will remain capped.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

3 months agoCincinnati Bengals running back Khalil Herbert has barely seen any action since being traded by the Chicago Bears in November. He's appeared in seven games for the Bengals this season. However, he has only eight carries for 45 yards and one catch for seven yards to show for it. But with Chase Brown (ankle) questionable for the Week 18 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Herbert may take over as the No. 1 option out of the backfield. The 26-year-old was once one of the most promising young backs in the National Football League, giving him some upside on Saturday. Still, his presence in any fantasy lineup isn't without risk.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

3 months agoCincinnati Bengals running back Khalil Herbert had 23 yards off four carries in Saturday's win over the Broncos. Chase Brown (ankle) had another solid fantasy showing, going for 67 yards on the ground off 20 touches and adding four grabs for 24 yards. However, with Brown suffering an ankle injury late in the contest, Herbert got some meaningful work. With that said, there's a chance Brown may not be healthy enough to play in Week 18 versus the Steelers. If that's the case, Herbert will enter the flex conversation while emerging as a DFS value option.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

5 months agoCincinnati Bengals running back Khalil Herbert was traded from Chicago on Tuesday before the trade deadline. It was surprising that the team activated him for his first game after just two days of practice. He only played 2% of the offensive snaps and didn't register any touches in the box score. He did fumble the hand-off on one play but was able to recover it. He'll have some extra time with the team and the playbook as the Bengals take on the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night in Week 11.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBaller
