Khalil Herbert, D'Onta Foreman Rotating With First-Team Offense
1 year agoChicago Bears running backs Khalil Herbert and D'Onta Foreman are rotating with the first-team offense at training camp. The Bears' backfield will be one to watch during camp and the preseason, as it could use a committee of up to three running backs in 2023. Rookie running back Roschon Johnson could get involved with the first-team offense sooner than later, but for now, that's not the case. Last season, Herbert rushed 129 times for 731 yards (5.7 YPC) and four touchdowns. Foreman carried 203 times for 914 yards (4.5 YPC) and five touchdowns as a member of the Carolina Panthers. Both backs are mediocre pass-catchers and pass-blockers, so Johnson could find his way onto the field if he flashes those abilities before Week 1. In all likelihood, this will be a frustrating backfield to navigate in managed leagues.
