Khabib Nurmagomedov Earns Second-Round Submission
4 years agoKhabib Nurmagomedov went into the Octagon and did what he needed, securing a second-round submission to keep the UFC lightweight title. Two of the three judges actually gave his opponent the round, however. Through the 8:26 of action, the Eagle landed 26 significant strikes along with landing two of his three takedown attempts. After winning the bout, Nurmagomedov removed his gloves and laid them in the center of the mat, signifying he was retiring. With the lightweight division now up for grabs, Nurmagomedov will go down as one of the best to ever compete in mixed martial arts, retiring with a record of 29-0.
