Keynan Middleton Notches Second Save
1 year agoChicago White Sox reliever Keynan Middleton tossed a scoreless ninth inning to lock down a 4-1 victory over the Boston Red Sox, earning his second save in the process. Middleton didn't allow a baserunner and struck out one in his inning of work. He has been very solid this year, pitching to a 2.33 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with 36 strikeouts in 27 IP. It is likely that the job is still Kendall Graveman's to lose, but with him blowing his last two saves it may open up an opportunity for Middleton to vulture some saves. For now, though, he should only be added in deeper leagues as a speculative save option.
