Keynan Middleton Notches First Save
2 years agoChicago White Sox reliever Keynan Middleton walked one batter while striking out three over a scoreless inning to earn the save during Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Minnesota Twins. Middleton was called on for the save opportunity Wednesday with primary closer Liam Hendriks (illness) yet to pitch this season and Reynaldo Lopez (biceps) sidelined. The 29-year-old struck out three of the four batters he faced to earn his first save of the year. Middleton owns a 2.89 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and a 17:4 K: BB across 9 1/3 innings in 2023. Fantasy managers searching for saves can add Middleton, who will handle closing duties for the White Sox until Lopez or Hendriks return.
