Kevin Yu A Risky Play With Upside At Mexican Open
2 days agoAfter finishing T17 at the Genesis Invitational, Kevin Yu now has back-to-back top-20 finishes, marking an impressive turnaround after starting the year with a T44, two missed cuts, and a 64th-place finish in his first four events. Yu now turns his attention to the Mexican Open, an event he has yet to play in his career. This course demands distance off the tee and the ability to hit long irons onto the green — two areas where Yu can struggle. He currently ranks 57th in total driving and 11th in strokes gained off the tee, but ranks just 105th in driving distance. He's also in the 36th percentile for greens in regulation from 200-plus yards, a distance that accounted for 43.3% of all approach shots at this event last year. While Yu has momentum on his side, at $8,800 on DraftKings, fantasy managers should carefully consider their options before inserting him into their lineups.
