Kevin Shattenkirk Will Be Healthy Scratch Thursday
9 months agoBoston Bruins defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk will be a healthy scratch when the club takes on the visiting Vancouver Canucks on Thursday. The veteran blueliner has been in and out of the lineup of late in his first season with Boston. Shattenkirk has appeared in 42 games this season, tallying five goals and 13 points to go along with 61 shots on goal and 54 blocked shots. His ice time has dropped to just 15:56, well below his 20:23 career mark and his 19:18 mark from last season with the Anaheim Ducks. Shattenkirk has skated in 933 career NHL games, notching 102 goals, 473 points, and 1,869 shots on goal in that time. Parker Wotherspoon will take Shattenkirk's spot in the lineup for a Bruins team that leads the Atlantic Division with a 31-10-9 record on the season.
