Kevin Roy Offers Little Upside In Napa
1 year agoKevin Roy had a rocky first year as a PGA Tour pro. The 33-year-old New York native missed the cut in 17 of his 26 PGA Tour starts, with his best finish being an 18th-place result at the Mexico Open in April. Roy does appear to be a decent fit for Silverado's North course on paper, as he ranks eighth on approach, 26th from tee-to-green, and 13th in birdie-or-better percentage over the last 50 rounds. However, he ranks 117th in the field in bentgrass putting, which was on full display here last year where he lost over six strokes putting en route to one of his many missed cuts. With only one top-20 result to his name on the PGA Tour, fantasy managers would be wise to avoid rostering Roy at the Fortinet this week.
