3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Kevin Pillar is absent from the starting lineup for Friday's game against Erick Fedde and the Washington Nationals. The team is going with Dominic Smith in left field and Mason Williams in center field. Pillar has been a mainstay in the lineup when healthy this year. He's coming off a solid four-game series against the Chicago Cubs in which he tallied four RBI. Through 43 games on the year, he's slashing .244/.283/.420 with five home runs, 17 RBI and 18 runs.
