1 month agoVancouver Canucks goaltender Kevin Lankinen will start between the sticks in Friday's matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers. The Finnish netminder gets a chance to make his team debut after Arturs Silovs struggled to keep the puck out of the net in Wednesday's season opener against Calgary. The Canucks have kicked off the season without their regular starter Thatcher Demko (knee), who remains without a timeline for his return. Lankinen boasts a 45-43-12 career record in the NHL. He has previously seen the Flyers two times, going 1-1-0.
