Kevin Kiermaier With No Cause For Concern
7 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier missed the game Monday versus Chicago with a bruised foot. He fouled a ball hard off it on Sunday. It is a bone bruise and he hopes to return in a few days. His 2018 numbers look bad but his track record tells another story. Kiermaier has either tied or set a career high in home runs in each of his past four seasons. He has stolen 16 to 21 bases the past three seasons. He even set a career-best .276 batting average in 2017. He has missed a lot of games the past two seasons, but if he can stay healthy and start the vast majority of the Rays games, he could set career highs in multiple categories and break into a higher tier of fantasy outfielders.
