Kevin Harvick Rounds Out The Top 10 At Gateway
2 years agoKevin Harvick was hoping for a better result in the Enjoy Illinois 300 after qualifying fourth. He was able to stay near the front of the pack all race, but he was never able to break into the top three. At the end of Stage 1, Harvick slipped back two spots and finished sixth. Following that trend, he slid back two more spots at the end of Stage 2, finishing eighth. This is not a trend that he would have liked to follow going into the third and final stage, but in the end, the trend held serve. Harvick ran in the top 10 for the majority of the race, ultimately sliding back two more spots from his Stage 2 spot to finish the race in 10th. Harvick is still searching for the first victory of his retirement tour.
