Kevin Gausman Stumbles Again Tuesday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Kevin Gausman turned in his second straight subpar start in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Padres. Gausman pitched just 4 innings, allowing four runs on nine hits (including three home runs) and no walks with three strikeouts. Gausman's last two starts have both been against the Padres and he has allowed four runs in each. He is still 14-6 with a 2.92 ERA and 1.06 WHIP on the season, but season-long numbers won't help fantasy managers lock up a championship now. His next start will be on the road against the Rockies. This is a tough venue for Gausman to attempt to right the ship and fantasy managers could consider sitting him, but he has pitched so well all season that starting him would also be a viable option.
