Kevin Durant Stays Hot
6 years agoGolden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant scored 51 points in Thursday's road loss to the Toronto Raptors, marking the first time in his career that he has scored 40 or more points in three consecutive games. Durant finished the night 18-for-31 from the field, 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and 11-for-12 from the free throw line, adding 11 rebounds, six assists and four three-pointers. The 30-year-old hit a ridiculous step-back three with 8.6 seconds left in the game to send it to overtime, which helped propel him to his sixth 50-point performance in his career. Stephen Curry (groin) is expected to make his return on Saturday, and Durant should trend down after averaging 40.6 points, 10.6 rebounds and 6.1 assists in his previous five games.
