Kevin Durant Looks To Top 20 Points For 20th Straight Game
6 years agoGolden State Warriors small forward Kevin Durant will look to continue to stroke the ball well when the Dubs visit the Lakers on Monday. The 6-foot-9 wing hit the 20-point mark for the 19th straight game in Friday's victory over the Clippers, where he tallied 24 points on 8-for-13 shooting from the floor including 2-for-7 from beyond the arc. Durant also grabbed seven rebounds, doled out five assists, blocked two shots and came up with two steals. The 30-year-old has made at least 50 percent of his shots in 10 of the 19 outings where he has compiled four double-doubles and averages 27.1 points along with 6.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 2.5 three-pointers while shooting 50.8 percent from the field as well as 43.3 percent from beyond the arc during this stretch. Durant compiled 21 points and seven rebounds along with seven assists in the first meeting against the Lakers this year.

Kevin Durant, Suns Could Work Together On A Trade This Offseason
1 month agoAccording to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Suns and forward Kevin Durant could work together on a trade during the offseason. Charania added that this may not happen if the Suns make a "significant run" this postseason, assuming Phoenix makes it that far. If not, league sources believe both sides may work collectively to make a deal happen. The 36-year-old has played well this season, averaging 26.7 points, 5.9 boards, 1.3 blocks, and 40.1% shooting from behind the arc. But Phoenix has struggled over the last few seasons, so the team may look to rebuild around Devin Booker. There are teams that will have the cap space available to acquire the multi-time All-Star. But other clubs may not be interested for reasons outside of his abilities on the court.

Kevin Durant Ready To Return To Action Tuesday
2 months agoPhoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant (ankle) is set to return to action in Tuesday's matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies. He is not listed on the injury report after missing three games with a left ankle sprain. Ryan Dunn or Royce O'Neale will have to give up a starting spot for Durant, who produced a full line in his first meeting with the Grizzlies this season. The veteran star tallied a team-high 29 points with 10 rebounds, six assists, one steal, and two blocks in a 117-112 loss on New Year's Eve.

2 months agoPhoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant (ankle) will remain out for a third consecutive game on Saturday against the Denver Nuggets. The veteran star is struggling to shake off a left ankle injury. His next chance to return will be on Tuesday against the Memphis Grizzlies. Royce O'Neale and Grayson Allen (knee) have taken on bigger workloads with Durant on the shelf. Allen is considered a game-time call on Saturday, meaning the Suns' bench may need to play an even larger role in Saturday's contest.

Kevin Durant Downgraded To Out
2 months agoPhoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant (ankle) has been downgraded to out ahead of Friday's game against the Utah Jazz. Durant will miss his second game in a row due to a left ankle sprain. It remains to be seen if Durant will be active for the second leg of the back-to-back set on Saturday. In the meantime, Royce O'Neale, Grayson Allen, and Ryan Dunn (ankle) will all be asked to pick up the slack with Durant sidelined. Both O'Neale and Allen are worth a look as streaming options with Durant and Bradley Beal (toe) headed to the sideline on Friday.
