Kevin Durant Leads Nets With 29 Points Sunday Night
4 years agoBrooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant scored a game-high 29 points on Sunday against the Hornets but it wasn't enough, with the team taking its first L of the season. KD was extraordinary from downtown, shooting 5-for-7 and he managed 9-for-15 overall from the field. His line also included four assists, three rebounds, and one block. Kyrie Irving had 25 points in the game on 10-for-17 shooting from the floor. KD has looked deadly after returning to the court, and he's averaging 26.7 points per game through three outings. He's so far shot an incredible 69.2 percent from behind the arc, and his minutes are on the up as well. However, the Nets play again on Monday and it's uncertain if Durant will feature against Memphis. The status of Spencer Dinwiddie, who left Sunday's game with a knee strain, is also up in the air.
