Kevin Alcantara Swinging A Hot Bat In July
4 months agoChicago Cubs outfield prospect Kevin Alcantara has performed very well in the batter's box through the first half of July at Double-A Tennessee. Across nine games, the 22-year-old has posted a remarkable .368/.419/.526 line with one home run, 10 RBI, and a 4:11 BB:K ratio. This is a stark contrast to the disappointing .179/.289/.205 line he held through June. Overall, the outfielder has been able to perform very well at times through his first extended look at Double-A pitching. Alcantara could earn an opportunity to get a brief taste of Triple-A before the end of the season and remains on track to make his major league debut next summer.
