Ketel Marte Sitting On Thursday After Signing Extension
20 seconds agoArizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte is getting his first day off in the campaign on Thursday evening when the Diamondbacks continue a series against the New York Yankees. On Wednesday, Marte went 1-for-2 at the plate with two walks after signing a six-year $116.5 million extension. Through six games this season, Marte has posted a strong .292/.433/.375 slash line with two doubles with a 6:4 BB:K. Last season, the 31-year-old enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career as he posted a stellar .292/.372/.560 slash line with 23 doubles, 36 home runs, seven swiped bags. With Marte sitting out on Thursday, the Diamondbacks will give Garrett Hampson the nod at the keystone. Hampson is worth a look as a low-risk value play in DFS facing New York right-hander Carlos Carrasco.
