Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte (hamstring) is still absent from the lineup on Saturday vs. the St. Louis Cardinals. This will be the sixth straight contest that the 28-year-old has missed due to left hamstring tightness. Josh Rojas is starting at second base while Emmanuel Rivera is taking over at designated hitter. Marte is hoping to avoid a trip to the injured list but hasn't appeared in a game since Wednesday (8/17) when he pinch-hit. Fantasy managers should continue to keep an eye on his status.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller

Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte (hip) hit two home runs and drove in three runs in Wednesday's 8-7 win over the Giants. He was pinch-hit for late in the game with hip tightness, but manager Torey Lovullo said Marte is expected to play in Friday's series opener against the division-rival Colorado Rockies. It was precautionary due to his recent return from a strained hamstring. His home run total is now up to five, with all of them coming in his past seven games. Marte missed some time with the previously mentioned hamstring injury but has quickly returned to being the best second baseman in fantasy.--Jeremy Heist - RotoBaller

Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte did all he could for his team on Friday, going 2-for-3 with two homers and two walks in a 14-11 loss to the New York Yankees. Marte cracked a pair of solo homers and also scored on Lourdes Gurriel Jr.'s grand slam. The 31-year-old has put together strong numbers in an injury-shortened start to his season, hitting .292 with 11 runs, three homers, and four RBI in 48 at-bats. When healthy, Marte is one of the best-hitting second basemen in the game. He should remain a fantasy standout throughout the season.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller

Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte is getting the day off in Wednesday's series finale against the visiting New York Mets. Rookie Tim Tawa will make the start at second base and bat eighth against Mets right-hander Kodai Senga. Marte has struggled since returning from a left-hamstring strain that kept him out for almost a full month, as he's gone just 2-for-15 with a run scored in six games since being activated from the injured list. The recent cold stretch has brought the 31-year-old Dominican's slash line down to .268/.388/.341 on the year. Marte has yet to go deep after clubbing a career-high 36 long balls a season ago. Tawa hasn't been great in his first 21 big-league games, hitting 190 (12-for-63), but he's displayed some pop with five home runs and 11 RBI in 75 plate appearances. He is hitless in just one career at-bat against Senga.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte (hamstring) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list on Friday, and outfielder Jorge Barrosa was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Thursday in a corresponding move. Arizona's starting lineup for Friday's series opener against the hosting Philadelphia Phillies isn't out yet, but fantasy managers should expect Marte to be back in there against left-hander Jesus Luzardo. The 31-year-old All-Star is finally back with the Snakes since landing on the IL on April 15 with a left-hamstring strain. Although the matchup isn't a great one against Luzardo, fantasy managers will want to get Marte back in their lineups in all redraft leagues. Before landing on the shelf, the Dominican switch-hitter had yet to homer in 26 at-bats, but he was hitting .346 with a .469 on-base percentage and .930 OPS.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
