2 years agoArizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte (hamstring) was held out of the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the San Francisco Giants. He is continuing to experience pain in his hamstring, an injury that has hampered him throughout the bulk of the season. Despite Marte being out of the lineup on Tuesday, Diamondbacks bench coach Jeff Banister stated that Marte was available off the bench for the game. The team has been primarily utilizing Marte as a designated hitter to help keep him healthy. He's appeared in 78 games this year and he's slashed .265/.362/.433 with six home runs, 27 RBI and 42 runs.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
