Keston Hiura Strikes Out Three Times On Thursday
4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers second/first baseman Keston Hiura continues to struggle at the plate this spring. Hiura went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts against the Angels, lowering his Cactus League average to just .154 with 11 total punchouts to just one walk. Three of his four hits so far have gone for extra bases, though it's hard to ignore the poor plate discipline after seeing Hiura post the fifth-worst strikeout rate in the majors last season. That being said, the 24-year-old does have elite-level power at a shallow second base position for fantasy, as evidenced by his top-10 percent barrel rates and HR/FB rates above 24 percent in each of the last two years. Still, Hiura is a bit pricey at his 68 ADP for someone with such a boom-or-bust outlook.
