Ke'Shawn Vaughn Named The No. 2 Running Back For Tampa Bay
1 year agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ke'Shawn Vaughn will begin training camp as the No. 2 running back on the depth chart behind Rachaad White. The team added Chase Edmonds via free agency and signed Sean Tucker as an undrafted free agent this offseason, but it appears Vaughn has the leg up on those two for now. In a media availability, Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dave Canales said, "We call him 'Sneak.' He's our [No.] two [back], and he's a fantastic runner. Just quick feet in the hole, sturdy build. And he's just got a real natural feel for it." Vaughn has posted just 316 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, 71 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown since being taken in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, so it will be interesting to see if he can hold off Edmonds and Tucker for the No. 2 chair in the backfield. He should be on the fantasy radar, but his upside is low as a backup in an offense that could struggle mightily in the post-Tom Brady era.
