Kerryon Johnson May Be Limited If He Returns
5 years agoDetroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia said that running back Kerryon Johnson (knee) could be held back somewhat if he comes off Injured Reserve to play in Week 16 against the Broncos. "Don't know if you want to use the word 'limit,' just try to be smart," Patricia said. Johnson could get the start this Sunday, but he's been out for two months and would likely have his snaps limited, making him a risky RB3 in championship week against a capable defense. Bo Scarbrough and J.D. McKissic could also share backfield work with Johnson if the Lions choose to ease him back in from his extended absence.
