6 years agoDetroit Lions running back Kerryon Johnson led all running backs with 34 yards rushing in the team's first preseason game against the Oakland Raiders. The Lions host the New York Giants on Friday evening. There are high hopes that the second-round pick will continue his strong play. Last week, Johnson had several runs of over 10 yards, including a 57-yard run that was called back because of a holding penalty. He also hauled in four passes for 33 yards to lead all running backs. His strong running power and pass-catching ability have made him a name to watch this preseason. While Theo Riddick and LeGarrette Blount are also in the Lions backfield, Johnson is the back with the highest ceiling.
